Henry Smith Charity
This large grant making charity has a special allocation - The Poor Clergy Fund - designated for grants to Anglican Clergy.
Church of England Pensions Board
Pension fund set up to assist retired clergy, the fund also offers grants and loans in times of financial need.
Lord Crewe's Charity
Objects include augmenting the stipends of necessitous clergy and their dependants in the dioceses of Durham and Newcastle. No Website but contact information through the link to Charities Direct.
Queen Victoria Clergy Fund
Charity is for supplementing and extending the financial support of the clergy available from other sources and generally to promote the further sustentation of the clergy. No Website but contact information from link to Charities Direct.
English Clergy Association
Another useful source of news, views and information (including grants) for Clergy.
SPCK
The Richards Trust is a fund administered by SPCK, with the purpose of assisting ordinands in financial need. It is a contingency fund to help ordinands who fall into financial difficulty during the course of their training.
Essex Clergy Charity
The Essex Clergy Charity Corporation is an independent body, founded in 1747 and re-constituted in 1917. Its mission is to assist "poor clergy" throughout the Diocese of Chelmsford.
Broken Rites
Broken Rites is an inter-denominational self-help and support group for separated and divorced wives of clergy and ministers in England, Scotland and Wales. They can help with everything from domestic violence to housing.
Society of Mary and Martha
This charity's primary objective is to support people in Christian ministry and/or their spouses, especially at times of stress, crisis, burnout or breakdown. This national, specialist work is set within a broadly based retreat and education framework.
St Luke's Hospital for the Clergy
has now closed. However, referrals of clergy patients to Honorary Consultants are continuing.
